Answers to the most common questions about insurance brokers
A broker is an authorized expert who, acting in the interest of the client and on their behalf, analyzes offers on the insurance market. By comparing coverage, insurance terms, and prices from different insurers, the broker helps the client select the most favorable and optimal insurance solution, tailored to their needs and risks.
On behalf of the client, we perform insurance distribution activities for the purpose of concluding insurance contracts and provide assistance to the policyholder during the term of the insurance contract. The broker will advise you on which products are adequate depending on the risks you are exposed to and will obtain the most acceptable offer from the insurer.
Currently, there are a large number of insurers on the Croatian market with a wide range of products covering various types of risks. If you are not sufficiently familiar with all the options that insurance offers or need advice, we believe it is best to hire a broker.
When the client decides to use our services, they sign an Authorization/Power of Attorney, which authorizes us to represent their interests in concluding insurance contracts, settling claims, and other insurance-related services.
Cooperation with a broker is free for both legal entities and individuals. Broker activities are regulated by law, and we are financed through commissions paid by the insurer.
Supervision of insurance intermediaries is performed by the Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency (HANFA), which can revoke the operating license if the intermediary does not operate in accordance with the law.
